Metadecidim is the community that collaborates in the design of the platform and the development of the project. Together we design and create new features and report bugs for continuous improvement of the platform.
The Decidim Free Software Association is a democratic association for the governance of the Decidim community.
O parte din ceea ce îl face pe Decidim atât de puternic este că adaugă un nivel de abstracţie la munca care separă paşii unui proces şi activităţile asociate procesului. Aceasta face parte din arhitectura informaţională; astfel încât nu numai că spui ce se întâmplă la fiecare pas, dar diferitele părţi ale Decidim se comportă diferit în funcţie de momentul în care eşti sau în funcţie de pasul în care te afli. The process started in October 2019 at the European Commission’s DG Communication and eDemocracy unit at the Joint Research Centre, the European Commission's science and knowledge service. An analysis of the needs of the Conference and which tools fit those, lead to choosing the open source tool Decidim for its technical maturity, broad community and adaptability.

Decidim este o platformă liberă de democraţie participativă deschisă pentru oraşe şi organizaţii. Dar Decidim este mai mult decât o platformă digitală: este un proiect comun deschis și gratuit și o infrastructură care implică cod, documentație; conceperea, cursurile de formare, un cadru juridic, interfețele colaborative, comunitățile de utilizatori și de facilitare, precum și o viziune comună.
What does it mean that Decidim is for free, "libre" and open source?
Decidim is a platform for citizen participation made by the people and for people. Its source code is open and can be inspected, modified, and enhanced by anyone. The Decidim software is covered by the AGPL license. That means that you can use it, modify it and redistribute derived versions of it as long as you respect the AGPL license.
