How governments can partner with us?
Participate in community events:
The public administration can take part in Community Events, such as Decidim Fest. Explaining their experience using Decidim. This collaboration step is the low-hanging fruit of the ladder.
Funding a roadmap feature:
The public administration can finance the development of a specific feature that is on Decidim's roadmap and is also a priority for the public administration. The government could pay for the development of this improvement or new feature, which would then be integrated into the core of Decidim. In this case, the Association would also have to be paid for the hours spent on coordination, product definition, and code review.
Sign an MoU with the Association:
The government and the Association can put in place a Memorandum of Understanding, with the main goal to collaborate in the use and extension of Decidim, and specially in its maintenance and sustainability. Signing an MoU would give the government the right to be part of the Decidim Public Institutions Committee. You can see the MoU signed with Brazil.
Funding Association core activities:
As an example, the Barcelona City Council and the Government of Catalonia make an annual transfer of financial resources to the Association, in order to fund core activities of the Association. Such as: Source code maintenance, the release of new Decidim versions, community events, or other core activities related to the main mission of the Association.
